The Natural Change Project
WWF-Scotland
I designed a programme to help high-profile leaders embed sustainability narratives across their peer groups and sectors.
The Natural Change Project brought leaders together in the Scottish Highlands for a series of residential workshops in wild places. The wild place wasn't just a setting - it was the primary agent of change.
The results were striking: lasting personal transformation for participants, which translated into active, cross-sector environmental advocacy at senior levels. Given its success, the programme was later repeated with senior education leaders.
It directly influenced Scottish government education policy, and contributed to UNESCO recognising Scotland as a world leader in learning for sustainability.
The programme has since become an independent social enterprise and charitable foundation, reaching hundreds of participants.
